Description
The Danish company LM (Lunderskov Mbelfabrik) was established in the 1940’s as a manufacturer of wooden furniture. In years that followed the company moved with the times, incorporating fiberglass initially in to the design and construction of its furniture before changing its name to LM Glasfiber and starting to build GRP boats. Introduced in 1972 with LM27 firmly established the companies offering with all subsequent models sharing the same design features, canoe stern and pilot house forward of a large open cockpit. Before ceasing boat production in 1995 to diversify again; into the manufacture of wind turbine components, the company had produced a total of approximately 3000 boats in four different models LM24, LM27, LM30 and the LM32. The LM27 must be one of the world's most popular sub 30’ motorsailers with over 1500 hulls manufactured since its launch in 1975 before eventually being re-worked to become the LM28 and later the Scanyacht 290. With her design heavily influenced by the traditional Scandinavian sailing lifeboats the hull is well proven and capable of making good progress under sail alone. Built in 1982 the LM27 SWANSONG is presented in fantastic condition for her age and boasts a comprehensive inventory with highlights such as: Bukh DV24 marine diesel engine (2004) 230VAC shore power system with galvanic isolator Sterling Power PRO Charge Ultra battery charger (2022) Hot water provided from 230VAC immersion heater Raymarine ST2000+ Tiller Pilot Standard Horizon GPS Chart 180i chart plotter Garmin GPS128 GPS Raymarine ST40 Bi-Data display Depth/Speed NASA Clipper Wind instrument Garmin VHF 100i DSC VHF SMEV built in gas cooker, three-burner oven and grill Webasto Airtop 2000 diesel-fired blown air heating system Plastimo roller reefing system on forestay (2021) Rocna 10kg anchor on chain rode Lying ashore at Craobh Marina the LM27 TIERELEIR is available for immediate viewing by prior appointment.
