The modern FD model was completely redesigned in 2017 to be longer and wider than its predecessor, offering greater interior volume, stability, and performance. Lightweight carbon build: The yacht features a full carbon-fiber and epoxy sandwich construction, which gives it a displacement of only about 17 tons. This makes it significantly lighter than other vessels in its class, leading to exceptional speed and agility. Optimal hull design: The redesigned hull provides enhanced form stability, better downwind performance, and greater directional stability at high speeds. Generous sail plan: It features a full carbon rig with a generous sail plan, including an electric jib furler, for high-performance sailing. The deck layout is optimized for both racing, with winches near the helm, and cruising, with relaxation areas separate from the maneuvering zones.
