Description

‘Blue Dolphin’ is one of only a small number of Southerly 420s built by Northshore, making her a rare and desirable cruising yacht. Designed with a centre cockpit and a variable draft keel, she offers excellent performance alongside exceptional flexibility. As a result, she is equally suited to offshore passages and coastal cruising. The design features a well-balanced modern hull form, a long heeled waterline, and a broad transom, which together deliver good speed and a notably sea-kindly motion. The lifting keel allows access to a wide range of cruising grounds, while still maintaining strong windward performance when lowered. ‘Blue Dolphin’ has recently completed a major refit programme. This work included a full hull repaint in Awlgrip ‘Ocean Blue’, along with the extensive rig and sail upgrades. As a result, she now presents in outstanding condition and is offered ready for immediate use. For further information or to arrange a viewing, please contact Paul in the Plymouth office on 01752 260086. Following the recent extensive refit, Blue Dolphin offers an outstanding value proposition for anyone seeking a high specification blue water cruiser, with the flexibility of a lifting keel. The interior layout and quality of accommodation has to be seen first-hand to be appreciated, and the ease with which she can be handled by just two people will appeal to many couples considering extended voyaging. Blue Dolphin is afloat in Plymouth and available for viewing.
