The Fisher 34 MkII is considered by many to be the ultimate Fisher design. It offers the perfect combination of timeless aesthetics and comfortable accommodation, complemented by the enhanced performance of the sloop rig. Commissioned by her current owners and launched in 2009 the Fisher 34 MkIII has been based in Shetland since new. Lightly used for local cruising her spacious wheelhouse proving ideal for cruising in the changeable conditions of the Northern Isles. The hull finished below the waterline with black antifouling. Deck & Superstructure Construction: GRP moulded deck with integrated cockpit, coachroof, side decks and bulwarks. Moulded GRP wheelhouse joined to deck moulding below window line. Polyester E-glass laminate, hand consolidated, balsa core in the way of horizontal panels. Gelcoat finish externally in white. Treadmaster non-slip panels to finish side decks and cockpit seating. Hardwood grabrails, capping rail and coaming tops. Keel: Full-length keel as part of hull moulding. Encapsulated ballast within keel. Rudder: Full-depth skeg hung rudder. Stainless steel rudder stock. Conventional greaser-type stuffing gland.
