Enkhuizen 500 OverviewThe Enkhuizen 500 has been built by Enkhuizensloep for almost 25 years, with hundreds of units delivered. This boat serves as a lifeboat for large sailing ships, tenders for inland vessels, and a comfortable sloop for recreational boating. It retains the DNA of the original English lifeboat, a wooden vessel from the late 19th century, adapted by Enkhuizensloep's carpenters with respect for tradition.Design and ComfortThe Enkhuizen 500 features a spacious cockpit with comfortable round bench seat cushions made of high-quality, waterproof material, making it ideal for hours of boating pleasure. The interior is stylishly finished with teak details. The heavily insulated engine box has a teak panel with crank strips and doubles as a handy table. There is ample storage space under the foredeck and aft seats.PerformanceWith a shallow draft and an extremely small turning circle, this sloop is perfect for day trips in polders and on lakes. The preserved DNA of the original lifeboat ensures that the 500 is steady on course and extremely stable.
