Description

SAMOGITIA, a Hallberg-Rassy 57, is a modern bluewater cruiser that seamlessly blends the yard’s legendary reputation for safety, seaworthiness, and comfort with contemporary yacht design. Designed by Germán Frers, she delivers fast, effortless, and reassuring sailing, optimized for safe and easy handling by a small crew. Her sail configuration is both powerful and highly versatile, comprising a mainsail, genoa, removable cutter jib, two Code 0 sails, and a gennaker. The yacht is equipped with a modern furling aluminium mast featuring hydraulic in-mast furling and hydraulic outhaul, while the genoa furling system is electric. All sail-handling systems are operated at the touch of a button, supported by electrically powered winches, ensuring smooth, efficient, and reliable sail handling in all conditions. On deck, SAMOGITIA offers a clean and uncluttered layout with flush deck hatches and generous sun deck, including a bimini. Teak decking extends across the deck, cockpit, and the push-button-operated fold-down bathing platform. Storage capacity is exceptional, with approximately 10,000 litres distributed among a large forward sail locker, anchor locker, cockpit lockers, and multiple aft storage compartments. Twin helm stations and twin rudders provide precise control, while bow and stern thrusters make manoeuvring in confined harbours effortless. Below deck, the interior is finished in classic light mahogany with a refined silk finish. The saloon features an L-shaped sofa, two comfortable armchairs, and an additional sofa with a custom-made backrest. A retractable 50-inch television is discreetly integrated into the saloon. Accommodation comprises three cabins, all with double berths, complemented by an additional berth in the mid cabin, ideal for hosting extra guests. For warmer days, the air conditioning on board will be greatly appreciated. The galley is designed for long-distance cruising and is comprehensively equipped, featuring a Force 10 electric stove with extractor hood, three top-loading refrigerator/freezer units, and an additional front-opening refrigerator. A washer-dryer is located in the aft head, and both heads are fitted with electric toilets. Her technical specification matches her cruising ambitions. Propulsion is provided by a Volvo Penta D4 engine delivering 175 hp, coupled to an AquaDrive shaft system for smooth and quiet operation. Safety and redundancy are enhanced by twin independent autopilot systems. Electrical power is supplied by a substantial battery bank supported by an Onan generator, ensuring reliable onboard systems and efficient charging. Navigation and communication are handled through a comprehensive Raymarine system. SAMOGITIA was delivered in 2020 and, due to Covid-related travel restrictions, was sailed directly to a service yard for storage. The owners were able to return the following year and enjoy their first full summer with the yacht. She has been sailed during only four summer seasons and was kept in storage last year. Thanks to her very limited use and consistent indoor winter storage, SAMOGITIA remains in excellent condition. The yacht has only been carefully run-in and will be delivered to her new crew in true turnkey condition. This has been an excellent and very enjoyable boat to own. She sails beautifully and remains well balanced, comfortable and a good sailor even in light winds. SAMOGITIA making every passage a pleasure. We took ownership in 2020, during the Covid period, and sailed her from the Hallberg-Rassy Yard to storage at Bröderna Martinsson Yard. Since then, she has taken us on memorable journeys; sailing the Kattegat and Skagerrak, spending a wonderful summer in the Norwegian fjords, and later cruising to Turku in Finland. Many weekends have also been enjoyed along Sweden’s beautiful west coast. Throughout our ownership, SAMOGITIA has been reliable, comfortable, and a pleasure to sail, offering both confidence offshore and enjoyment during relaxed coastal cruising.
