Description

LYRIC is a highly specified X4.9 that offers the best of both cruising and racing. On the racing side, the underbody and keel have been fully race-faired and wet-sanded. She has an extensive inventory of Quantum and North sails, a carbon bowsprit, and a Facnor furler for the Code Zero and LRH. She has competed in the Marion Bermuda Race, the Newport Bermuda Race, and the Annapolis–Newport Race. LYRIC has all the offshore safety gear required for a buyer to compete in any offshore race. On the cruising side, LYRIC features a GRP furler boom, electric winches, a retractable bow thruster, generator, air conditioning, watermaker, lithium batteries, extra fuel and water tanks, B&G electronics, Starlink, cockpit cushions, dodger and bimini, and a dinghy garage aft for the Achilles dinghy with a Torqeedo outboard. LYRIC is easily handled by a crew as small as two but also offers a spacious interior layout with three double-berth cabins, extra sea berths in the two aft cabins, and a large owner’s cabin forward. There are two heads, including a forward stall shower. The interior is finished in light European oak with teak laminate floorboards. With thousands of dollars spent in recent years on both racing and cruising upgrades, LYRIC offers fantastic value for anyone seeking a state-of-the-art fast cruising boat or wishing to compete in any offshore regatta. Prepping for a Newport Bermuda Race requires a massive amount of time and money—LYRIC is ready to enter! X-Yachts has legendary, consistently high build standards, incorporating a very strong steel keel grid and beautifully styled, well-finished interiors. Check the complete specs for a comprehensive list of equipment and recent upgrades. LYRIC is a wonderful boat and is raring to go!ConstructionHull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:The entire bottom, keel and bulb was professionally faired and smoothed to 600 grit in the fall of 2024 resulting in both a racing smooth bottom (clearly faster) and minimal bottom maintenance for at least five years.
