Description
Walter Henry is an elegant example of a traditional Dutch Barge with a round stern. The boat has an extensive equipment list, in excess of many boats of a similar size and type. RCD Cat C accreditation makes the boat perfect for coastal waters, large bays, estuaries, rivers and other inland waterways. At the stern the large after deck creates a perfect social focus with ample space for table and chairs allowing owners and guests to dine, relax in comfort and enjoy the views. The large wheel house, with hydraulic lowering roof for transit under low bridges, provides a further social/living space when moored and a comfortable steering position with well-equipped dash board and displays, including a Garmin 276 plotter and Raymarine I70 multi display, for the helmsman when underway. The large engine room with standing head room, houses much of the main equipment, fuel tanks and battery banks as well as a substantial 12KVA Generator easily able to supply power to the boat when not attached to shorepower. The Vetus 170hp is more powerful to ease passages in tidal and coastal waters. The additional engine horse power together with powerful, yet versatile, variable speed bow and stern thrusters gives this vessel exceptional control, manoeuvrability and ease of handling in tight spaces, in windy conditions, entering and leaving locks and for mooring. Other notable features include the 200 gallon fresh water capacity and the significant black water holding tank capacity (350 gallons in two separate tanks linked to each heads) allowing for longer uninterrupted cruising. In addition, separate fuel tanks for main propulsion (200 gallons) and domestic heating (100 gallons) ensures ample fuel for extended trips. The interior accommodation includes a well-equipped galley with NEF appliances throughout. The feel throughout is homely and the overall layout provides space and comfort whether for holidays, extended stays or living aboard.
