Description

Boat DescriptionHydra is in good structural condition and generally good cosmetic standard, reflecting careful past ownership. The vessel has a fair standard of maintenance. A 2025 survey is available and can be reassigned at completion FOC. Hydra has been newly blacked, polished, and a new boat safety certificate issued. With a beam of 10', Hydra is suitable for the Great Ouse systems and easily navigated on all UK Wide Beam waterways. She features a 1 bedroom design with a reverse layout, galley forward of the saloon, and a full canopy for both the aft cockpit and forward hatch. The boat is powered by a Beta Marine diesel engine, which was recently fully serviced by T M Marine Engineering. The Morso stove was converted to diesel supply in  2024 at a cost of circa £4000, giving immediate heat when coming aboard. General InformationStern Type – Cruiser RoundedBuilder - Viking Canal BoatsFit-out - Viking Canal BoatsPlating Specification - 10/6/5/5Insulation – Spray FoamNumber of Berths - 1 DoubleNumber of Cabins - ONECanopies – Cockpit / Pram Cover, Cratch CoverRecent WorksBoat Safety Certificate Expiry Date - 06/10/2027Last Blacking - May 2025Last Engine Service - May 2025Last Survey – March 2025Additional Works - Full topside polishing to exteriorGeneral Hull Specification10mm base plate / 6mm hull sides / 5mm cabin sides / 5mm roofIntegral steel water tank – approx. 200 gallonsDiesel tank – approx. 100 gallons“Wrapped” stern with Canvas dodgersStern gas locker accommodates two gas bottles4x 4.5kg magnesium anodesChrome mushroom vents, plank and pole rack, tiller barSteel rear doors with sliding hatchSteel double glazed front doors3’ double glazed side hatch doors18mm water resistant plywood base flooring“Styrodur” underfloor insulation throughoutInterior fully battened and spray foam insulatedHull sides lined in “A” grade oak veneered plywoodAll wooden bulkheads and furnitureAll hardwood trimsPaintwork & ExteriorHull with base plate sandblasted and primed using a two-pack epoxy systemBottom finished in a two-pack epoxy undercoatHull above waterline finished in black polyurethane with anti-fading UV filterSlip-resistant finish surface on all decks, roof, and gunwalesBollards, T-stud, fender fittings fore, sides and aft, central mooring ring, pair of fairleadsCabin top finished in high-gloss automotive paintEngine and SteeringBeta Marine diesel Engine 4 cylinders keel cooled engine, 45A & 175A alternatorsFlat bottom cooler with self-bleeding system & Dry exhaust3-blade propeller & Gland packing shaft sealFlexible couplingAnalogue diesel tank gaugeWater & Sanitary & Sewage75 litres twin-coil calorifier with immersion heaterVetus pressurized water pump with 19L accumulator tankVetus pump out system with Jabsco Deluxe electric toilet150L waste holding tankDiaphragm shower pumpWaste and water tank analogue gaugesAutomatic bilge pumpHeating and GasWebasto Heating system with Heat miser control & radiatorsChrome heated towel railGas regulator with manual changeover kit for 2 bottlesA four burner ‘Thetford’ gas stove, grill and ovenDiesel Fired Converted Morso  stove230V ACAC Consumer Unit installed and tested according to RCD16A landline socket & hook up mains leadSocketsVictron MultiPlus Inverter/ChargerVictron Galvanic IsolatorDishwasherA ‘Shoreline’ electric refrigerator and freezerWasher / Dryer12V DC3 x leisure batteriesStarting batteryElectric bow thruster, batteries, additional battery chargerMain distribution panelCeiling spotlights, light switchesTV sockets, UHF TV/FM aerial with signal booster
