She has brought us immense joy, adventure, and cherished memories. She is in immaculate condition, a testament to the care and attention we have given her throughout our ownership. A little about our story: My wife and I met at Southampton University, and sailing has been a shared passion throughout our lives. Over the years, we progressed through a succession of yachts, eventually owning a Jeanneau 54, which we loved for nine wonderful years. With our three children and six grandchildren, we explored the UK, France, and the Mediterranean. In 2015, with a growing family and bigger dreams, we decided it was time for a larger yacht.  I first learned to sail during my VSO years in Tortola, so returning to the Caribbean and eventually heading up to the USA East Coast had always been part of our retirement dream. When we heard about the Jeanneau 64 - beautifully crafted in a dedicated factory to the highest standards - we knew she was the right choice. LAYLA took us from the south coast of the UK to Portugal, Tenerife, and Lanzarote before we crossed the Atlantic with the ARC to St Lucia. We then enjoyed six glorious months exploring the Caribbean. Sadly, COVID interrupted our plans, and LAYLA had to be shipped back to the UK. Nevertheless, we continued making wonderful memories, especially cruising around Mallorca and the Mediterranean. What we love about LAYLA: A beautifully sea-kindly hull with wide, clutter-free side decks, making her safe and comfortable to move around on.A shoal draft keel (2.2m), opening up more marinas and anchorages without compromising sailing performance.  A high boom with a mainsheet led under the deck through a captive winch - allowing the helm to ease the main without leaving the wheel, perfect for short-handed sailing.  A G2 North Sails gennaker on a Karver roller furler, controlled from the cockpit, enabling effortless two- and three-sail reaching.  Running backstays and a main boom gybe preventer for added peace of mind in all conditions.  Huge amounts of deck space which makes her comfortable at sea and in port and making her the perfect platform for on deck leisure .A fully equipped and luxurious interior ideal for both entertaining and long passages, including: 1. A properly integrated generator powering a gas-free induction cooker.  2. Full air conditioning and heating. 3. Microwave, wine fridges, freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer, usable via shore power or generator.  4. A Williams RIB tender neatly stowed in the transom garage - a game-changer for fun and easy shore trips.  5. A major 2023 upgrade: a fixed hardtop (like the new Jeanneau 65) with electric roof blinds, allowing the cockpit to be sailed open or closed, dramatically enhancing comfort and usability.  6. A redesigned sprayhood offering improved visibility to port and starboard. - High-quality Elite shade and wet weather side blinds - a transformational addition, providing superb protection and flexibility, making our cockpit life truly fabulous.  But perhaps what we love most is how safe LAYLA feels - she sails beautifully, handles wonderfully, and is very easy to manoeuvre thanks to her powerful bow and stern thrusters. She has been our perfect floating holiday home, combining luxury, performance, and reliability in every passage. We are selling her now as we begin a new chapter and downsize, but LAYLA will always hold a special place in our hearts.
