This unique 2015 Hardy 32DS (Deck Saloon) is beautifully presented and benefits from a detailed 2023 refit by the experienced team at Cockwells Modern & Classic Boatbuilding (who now build the Hardy range). She is now brighter and lighter, with upgraded navigation equipment, a reworked galley, and a larger heads and shower, while losing none of the tough, no-nonsense capability of her original build. She has low hours on her Yanmar 240s, plus a sunroof, thruster, heating, and a comprehensive maintenance log.ConstructionRCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised Category B “Offshore”for 8 persons on board. Hull Construction:Height above waterline (mast down): 8’10” / 2.70m.Initial lay-up using Lloyds approved isophthalic gelcoat and resin. Subsequent lay-up orthphthalic resin. Stiffened with heavy GRP foam-filled stringers and hand-bonded plywood grid, bonded waterproof plywood equipment beds and foundations. Hand bonded, resin-coated waterproof plywood bulkhead. High density foam-cored bonded engine beds with integral plate steel mountings. Grey vinyl wrapped top stripe to hull (May 2023), white gelcoat hull elsewhere.Hull polishing, re-antifouling and anode replacement in 2024, 2025 & 2026. Superstructure Construction:GRP with balsa reinforcing.Bonded waterproof plywood equipment beds and foundations.White gelcoat finish. Hull and superstructure bonded together with Plexus and bolted together using stainless steel bolts to 10 mm backing plates.Powered sliding sunroof to forward wheelhouse roof with smoked perspex insert (new 2023). Deck Construction:Synthetic teak decking in cockpit, with non-slip moulded tread to side decks.Wide, safe side decks enclosed by bulwarks and solid 25mm diameter stainless steel pulpit and guard rails.All deck fittings in 316-grade stainless steel.Access openings in side rails and at transom gateway, with wire safety strops.Stainless steel rubbing rail.Stainless steel rubbing protection strips (new 2023).Stainless steel tank fillers.Stainless steel bathing platform with teak slats. Fixed stainless-steel mast for navigation lighting.Stainless steel grabrails to coachroof. MachineryEngine & Gearboxes:Twin Yanmar 4LHA-STP 6-cylinder 4-stroke 240hp mechanically governed diesel engines.3455cc displacement, turbo-charged and intercooled, with direct fuel injection.Shaft drive to Yanmar KMH50A hydraulic gearboxes.c. 690/691 hours as at February 2025.Chromed Morse single-lever engine/gearbox controls at helm position.Separ fuel pre-filters.
