Description

S/V Xaron is a Saint Martin based 2011 Jeanneau 44i, designed by naval architect Philippe Briand,  a finely balanced cruising sloop that marries responsive hull performance with an exceptionally liveable interior. Its design intent is clear: deliver seakeeping and speed for passagemaking while providing the volume and comfort families and cruiser-racers expect. The “i” denotes Jeanneau’s injection-moulded deck construction, contributing to precise fit-and-finish and an efficient strength-to-weight ratio. On deck the 44i is organized for straightforward, short-handed sailing. A fractional sloop rig and an efficient keel profile give predictable helm balance and good upwind ability, while twin-wheel helms and a roomy cockpit provide clear sightlines and safe crew movement. Sail handling is typically set up with a roller-furling headsail and options for reefing or furling mainsail systems, making reefing and sail changes efficient even with a small crew.Below, the interior layout is exceptionally adaptable. The standard arrangement offers four cabins convertible to three, each served by en-suite heads in many configurations — a configuration that makes the 44i particularly attractive for family cruising, guests or owner-operator use. The saloon is bright and airy with generous headroom and smart ergonomics; the galley and nav station are positioned for practical access and offshore convenience, with abundant storage and refrigeration capacity for extended cruising.Systems are configured for reliability and ease of maintenance, and the 44i accepts a range of auxiliary engine and electronics packages to match intended use, from coastal cruising to longer passages. In summary, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 44i is a technically capable, comfort-oriented platform: performance-minded yet family-friendly, well suited to owners who want a sailboat that handles confidently and lives comfortably at anchor or underway.Additional InformationAccommodation4 Cabin model, convertible to 3 heads:• Toilets (2): (1) electric (2023)• Holding tanks (2) 80L• Electric floor drain pumps for showers (2)• 2-burner gas stove + oven• Gas bottles (4) 23.8 lbs• Electric fridge + freezer (2023, thermostat 2025), 260 liters• Coolbox• Cutlery – kitchen equipment• Water heater: 110V or engine• Water capacity: 635 liters (bow tank: 400L, aft tank: 235L)Interior Comforts and Amenities• 2-burner gas stove + oven• Gas bottles (4) 23.8 lbs• Electric fridge + freezer (2023, thermostat 2025), 260 liters• Coolbox• Cutlery – kitchen equipment• Water heater: 110V or engine• Water capacity: 635 liters (bow tank: 400L, aft tank: 235L)Electronics and Navigation• Depth sounder: Airmar• Wind indicator: Raymarine• Autopilot: Raymarine ACU400• Displays: P70S (autopilot)• Chart plotter: Raymarine Axiom 9• VHF radio: Raymarine RAY49• VHF radio: Icom IC-M73 (2020)• Audio system: BOSS MR632UAB• Speakers: Infinity (cockpit)• Electric fans: (2) in saloon and (1) in each cabin• Electric toilets (1) (2023)• All LED lights (2024)• 110V sockets (galley, chart table, cabins)• Inverter generator: Honda EU2200i, 2200W, 120V• Portable inverter: 110V, 150WElectrical SystemsDomestic system:• Batteries: Mastervolt (3) 130Ah (2023)• Solar panels: 375W total — (1) 175W Victron Energy (2023); (2) 100W Rich• Smart solar charge controllers: Victron Energy MPPT (2) 75/15 (2023)Starter system:• Batteries: ACDelco (2) 110Ah (2020)• Solar panel: 95W flexible SunPower cell (2023)• Solar charge controller: Victron Energy BlueSolar (2023)Bow thruster system:• Batteries: Victron Energy (2) 110Ah (2020)• Solar panel: 95W flexible SunPower cell (2023)• Solar charge controller: Lesa (2020)Additional equipment:• Battery monitor: Victron Energy BMV-702• Alternator splitting system: Sterling Power Pro Split R 12V 120A PSR123• Shore power connection (110V)• Inverter generator: Honda EU2200i, 2200W, 120V• Portable inverter: 150WDeck and Hull Equipment• Double helm station• Anchors: Bruce Lofrans 15kg (main); Delta Lofrans 15kg; Fluke 15kg• Chain: Lofrans 206 ft, 10 mm (2024)• Sprayhood (2024)• Bimini top (2024)• Foldable cockpit table• Cockpit cushions (7)• Swimming ladder• Dinghy outboard engine mount on aft pulpit• Fenders (8)• Bosun’s chair: Harken• Mooring lines• Fire extinguishers (6)• Fire blankets (2)• Adults’ life jackets: Spinlock auto-inflatable (3)• Adults’ life jackets: Viking (6)• Kids’ life jackets: Viking (2)• Safety lines: Lalizas (10)• Safety harnesses: Lalizas (10)• Distress flare kit (smoke and light flares)• Life raft: Viking, 10-person• Horseshoe lifebuoy: Lalizas• Emergency tiller• Radar reflector• (2) electric bilge pumps• Manual bilge pump• Navigation lights: (2) separate circuits (bow & stern + mast tricolor)Sails and Rigging• Fully battened mainsail, (2) reefs (2017)• Lazy bag for mainsail (2024)• (2) furling genoa (2017)• Rigid boom vang• Standing rigging (2019)• Double-speed winches: Harken (4) sizes: 40; 46; (2) 50• Deck blocks: Harken• Running rigging (2019)• Spare lines, various lengthsMechanical Equipment• Electric bilge pumps (2)• Manual bilge pump• Anchors: Bruce Lofrans 15kg (main); Delta Lofrans 15kg; Fluke 15kg• Chain: Lofrans 206 ft, 10 mm (2024)• Windlass: Lofrans X2 1000W electric (2024)• Bow thruster: Max Power (2025)Engine Info• Yanmar• Year: 2010• 54 hp• Model: 4JH5E• Saildrive: SD50• 3-blade fixed propeller• Diesel• Last maintenance ashore: November 2024 — antifouling SeaHawk replaced; oils, filters, anodes, and silent blocks replacedTankage• Fuel: Diesel tank, 264 liters• Water tanks (2): 400L + 235L• Holding tanks (2) 80LDisclaimerThe company offers the details of this vessel in good faith but cannot guarantee or warrant the accuracy of this information nor warrant the condition of the vessel.
