Description
Marketing Description This Bruce Roberts Norwest 34 was built by her present owner on the River Tees. She is now looking for a new custodian to fulfil her potential as a long-range cruiser. She has been built to a high standard using good quality materials. Her decks are iroko laid over GRP. Her engine is a reliable and powerful 38hp Beta which has only completed 110 hours since installation. Comprehensive electronic navigation package including chart plotter, autopilot and radar. Below decks is comfortable with berths for five, gas fuelled oven, heads and cabin heating. Deck stepped spars with stainless steel standing rigging. Roller furling genoa and slab reefing mainsail.
Mechanical Powered by a Beta 38 hp inboard diesel. The engine is situated beneath the companionway allowing easy access to all sides of the engine for daily checks and servicing. Engine Start Panel next to chart table with visual and audible warning lights for charging, oil pressure and temperature. Digital hour meter currently showing 113 hours. Single level engine control mounted in cockpit with forward and reverse gearing. Reduction gearbox driving a stainless steel shaft and three bladed fixed propeller. Owner installed 2x120 litre stainless steel fuel tanks to provide greater range. Under engine she will cruise all day at 5 knots giving a range of 1200 miles. Engine spares
Electrical Bank of 3x12V batteries providing engine start and domestic power. Batteries are fitted with rotary style selector switches and are recharged either by the engine alternator or the onboard Victron Energy Multi Plus compact charger/inverter. 12/240V panel at chart table with illuminated fused selector switches with gauges for current and voltage.
Rigging Bermudan sloop rigged yacht with deck stepped aluminium spars by Sailspar of Brightlingsea. Stainless steel standing rigging new in 2018. Terylene running rigging led aft to helm. Rigid boom vang. Mainsheet track mounted in cockpit forward of wheel. Lewmar ST40 genoa sheet winches, Lewmar ST30 halyard winches and Lewmar single speed halyard/reefing winches either side of companionway hatch. Suit of Jeckells heavy Dacron sails including a boom mounted slab reefing main and roller furling genoa with UV strip.

Accommodation The main saloon is entered from the cockpit via the companionway sliding hatch. Two removable washboards with the additional benefit of two internal saloon style doors. These are ideal when staying on board. 5’10” Headroom throughout with an interior which has been attractively finished with a mixture of solid teak and iroko pieces. The headlining is easy clean PVC cladding which is easily removable, allowing access for mast electrics and lighting. Oval portholes which open allowing natural light and ventilation. The flooring is attractive, teak and holly laminate. Central saloon table which moves up and down the stainless-steel Samson post. On the port side. Is the galley with a gas fuel Nelson oven with two burner and grill there is a Stainless-steel sink with hot and cold pressurised water. To starboard opposite galley is the chart table with chart storage, electronic navigation aids and a large quarter berth aft.Between the saloon and the bow cabin is the heads compartment with toilet. Bow cabin with double berth and opening roof hatch for light and ventilation. 12 Volt lighting and heating outlets throughout.
Construction GRP constructed hull with white GRP topsides. Fin keel with counter hung rudder and wheel steering. Hull to deck join finished with an aluminium toerail. Iroko strip decks and coach roof. Stainless steel bow fitting with double nylon anchor rollers. Stainless steel bow and stern rails. Double set of coated guard wires. Stainless steel grab handles on coach roof. Self-bailing cockpit with locker storage. Stainless steel steering binnacle with wheel. Access gates midships and at transom. Bathing platform with ladder
