Description
De Balta is een prachtig toer/wedstrijd zeiljacht, dat zeer stijf gebouwd is. Ze is gebouwd voor verre tochten, die ze dan ook gemaakt heeft. Er is een vertikale hefkiel (diepgang tussen 1 en 2,5 meter) er zijn ballasttanks van 800 liter en dubbele roeren. De kiel heeft een gewicht van 3000 kilo waardoor het zwaartepunt heel gunstig en laag ligt. Samen met de flexibel inzetbare ballasttanks en de dubbele roeren heeft het schip zeer prettige zeileigenschappen: weinig helling en licht stuurbaar. De roeren en de bulb zijn zo uitgelijnd/ gebalanceerd dat de boot droog kan vallen.Er zijn soloraces met de Balta gevaren en langeafstandstochten naar o.a. de Azoren, de Shetlandeilanden en Spanje. De vaste buiskap biedt goede beschutting. Het lichte en moderne interieur is ook bij nachtelijke tochten aangenaam. Een boot voor de sportieve zeilliefhebber.
