Description

The Wauquiez Pilot Saloon 55 is the largest and most sophisticated design in Wauquiez's line of yachts. Constructed in 2008, RENNE, showcases a distinctive arch supporting the mainsheet, bimini, and cockpit features. Engineered for Bluewater sailing, it boasts a GRP/Balsa sandwich hull and expansive teak decks. For ease of navigation, dual steering stations and electric winches are prominently featured, with lines led aft to maintain a pristine deck. The yacht's self-tacking jib, combined with options for a furling gennaker or Code 0 sail, facilitates effortless short-handed sailing. Below deck, the yacht offers luxurious accommodation for up to 7 in 4 cabins, including a spacious saloon with panoramic views and a well-equipped U-shaped galley. Recent upgrades include mast wiring and aerials (2021), Seame Active Radar, Glomex Talitha Antenna, upgraded in-mast furling system, and replaced standing rigging (2021). The engine is a Yanmar 110hp diesel with an estimated 3,400 hours, fitted with a new 2024 Feather Stream 4 bladed propeller. Tankage includes 600 litres fuel, 850 litres water, and 170 litres holding tanks. Electronics are comprehensive Raymarine suite including Quantum 2 Digital Radar, Axiom 12+ and 9 Chartplotters, EV 200 Autopilot, i70 Multi-function displays, Ray63 VHF, AIS700, and Yachtsense Link.
