Description
Kayos was built in 2008 and was the 15th hull of this popular model which to-date now sees 30 afloat and the next hull currently in build. She has been in her current ownership for four years during which time she has been upgraded and immaculately cared for. She is a fine example of the renowned Hardy craftmanship, quality and sea-keeping ability. Currently lying afloat at Island Harbour Marina on the Isle of Wight and available for viewing.

CONSTRUCTIONHull – Initial lay-up using Lloyds approved isophthalic gelcoat and resin. Subsequent lay-up orthphthalic resin. Stiffened with heavy GRP foam filled stringers and hand bonded plywood grid, bonded waterproof plywood equipment beds and foundations. Hand bonded, resin coated waterproof plywood bulkhead. High density foam cored bonded engine beds with integral plate steel mountings. Dark blue gelcoat top stripe in hull, white gelcoat elsewhere.Superstructure – GRP with balsa reinforcing. Bonded waterproof plywood equipment beds and foundations. White gelcoat finish.
