It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.Owners CommentsPurchased by the current owners in 2014, since then they have cruised from France to Greece: French Atlantic coast, UK south coast and Solent, Channel Isles, Bay of Biscay, Spanish Rias, Portuguese Coast, Straights of Gibraltar, Coasts of the Mediterranean, Spain, French Riviera, Italian Riviera, Balearics, Sicily, Croatia, Aegean, Turkey, Greece. The Beneteau 50 performance model benefits from:0.8m taller mast, this of course means a larger sail area, the sails are full Dacron and also Tri radial cut with fully battened main. We had new sails custom made in 2023 (genoa and main) which have had little use and are stored below when not in use. There is also a cruising chute and spinnaker included along with a pole. The rigging on the performance model is Dyform (Compacted strand) which is high performance, very strong, lower stretch, smoother profile etc.For safety and ease all lines are led aft. Our yacht of course also benefits from a roller stay sail (Yankee cut) which not only benefits high wind conditions but is also easy to use in light airs or down wind. She has a shallow draft keel enabling her to draw just 1.8m but the keel is longer than standard and the same weight so stability is not compromised and straight line handling is enhanced. With the shallow draft keel enabling her to find the best anchorages or take the last (shallow) spot on the town quay. She is surprisingly fast and yet stable in a good blow once reefed and also performs extremely well in light airs.
