Description
AboutThis is a VERY VERSATILE boat. You can either have TWO MASSIVE SUITES, with THREE heads, or THREE, or FOUR CABINS. A great feature is that the forward cabin has His & Hers Heads with Showers. Or you can use one just for showering and keeping the other one dry. Either way, the two heads for the forward cabin are a great comfort. So, when you visit this boat, what strikes you most is how versatile the layout is.To stern, you have a very spacious full-beam aft cabin, also with an ensuite head. Now play with dividing walls, and you can transform this boat into a 3 or even a 4 cabin boat! Even in the 4 cabin arrangement, you can sleep 8. Not to mention the dinette can drop and become a berth for 2.And it has 3 heads to accommodate that crew! For that reason too, it comes with a 10 person life raft.As a serious bluewater boat, the dinghy is stored on the forward deck.At the stern, there is a solar panel frame, with support for the outboard motor, and a propane barbecue.Real teak is found throughout the cockpit and decks.Complete new set of Raymarine electronics at both helms in 2020!New Raymarine Axiom-12 chart plotter being installed March '23 at the navstation. This current owner purchased her in Europe and sailed safely and comfortably with his family, all the way from the Med to the Caribbean, and then up to Fort Lauderdale, followed by many sails to Key West, The Abaco's and The Bahamas. December 2021 she sailed to The Dominican Republic, and then to Puerto Rico. Owner uses the boat as much as possible, keeping all systems functional. She is TAX PAID, making her "AVAILABLE for Sale to US Residents While in US Waters".July of 2021 we restored the teak decks, polishing all the chrome, fiberglass deck and hull, and restoring any wear on the inside cabinetry. Check out the photo gallery taken on July 23rd, 2021!August 2021 we refinished any blemishes to the gelcoat on the deck, addressing any spider cracks or chips that occur on any used boat.New Bottom paint January 2023.Upgrades Upgrades in 2023January 9th 2023 in Tortola:New bottom paintNew zincsNew through hull valveNew UV covers on Genoa and MainProfessional Inspection and Service of Standing RiggingProfessional maintenance on the prop shaft and struts.Upgrades March 2023 in Puerto Rico:Replaced Chart plotter at Nav Station with a Raymarine Axiom-12Replaced engine sound proofing shieldsServiced EnginePainted engine and accessoriesNew windlass controlNew DC outlets with USB portsCompsConsidering this listing is by far the lowest price 49 DS worldwide, we feel it is being seen as in poor condition and with the recent service we feel $200,000 is still competitive considering its upkeep and location. As of today, January 31st, 20232008 Jeanneau 49 DS in Florida asking $249,002007 Jeanneau 49 DS in Croatia asking $173,4382006 Jeanneau 49 DS in France asking $249,0002006 Jeanneau 49 DS in Greece asking $183,194Sail AreaI : 55.75 ftJ : 18.50 ftP : 51.58 ftE : 17.67 ftOverview Manufacturer Provided DescriptionJeanneau presents the signature new model for 2005. The Sun Odyssey 49 DS was conceived using the “Deck Salon” concept of the Sun Odyssey 54 DS. Like her big sister, she adopts the teardrop-shaped windows; a key to the success and something to emulate. Her performance-orientated hull designed by Philippe Briand / Jeanneau Design and the new generation deck line created by Vittorio Garroni ensures the boat is not only elegant but comfortable at sea.Cockpit AreaTeak cockpit bench seats and floorTwin bottle gas lockerTwo lockers under helm seats, with technical compartment access panelsFloor storage locker with teak grate between helm stations2 leathered steering wheels and compasses with stainless steel handrailVertical mounted engine shift/throttle lever at starboard helm stationCockpit table with folding leaves, central storage, and glass holderStainless steel fiddle and handrail with light on cockpit tableElectronics mounting panel at each helm station and under cockpit tableTwin-door transom gateTeak transom steps and stern skirt, freshwater deck showerStowable swim ladder with teak stepsSaloon AreaSaloon and Lounge:U-shaped salon to starboardBattery bank access under seatSalon table with fiddles and central storage2 removable table legs for transformation to (optional) double berthUpper storage lockers, storage under seatsLounge bench seat to port with bar furnishingCD/radio in port shelfLarge storage lockers under lounge seatsTeak shelves with fiddles under hull portholesOptional salon arrangementLuxury folding salon table with swinging glass holderDouble salon berth (incompatible with luxury table option)2 lounge chairsCabin Layout:3 cabin version + 3 washrooms (aft owner’s cabin – 2 Modular Forward Cabins)Electrical12V alternatorCharge distributor, single entry – twin outletEngine start battery12V service battery park with 3 batteries (+1 optional) 230V shore power with ground fault circuit breaker (optional 12V/60A charger)1 engine battery switch, 1 service battery switch, 1 general battery switch12V electrical panel with circuit breakers at nav station12V ammeter, 12V voltmeter, general amperage consumption gauges 230V source selector switch : dock, NO generatorTwo 180 W Solar PanelsGalleyGalley to starboard on slightly lower levelResin countertop combining: icebox and dish drain panels, folding stove cover, 2 removable sink covers2-burner stove/oven230 liter top-loading icebox with shelves and storage binsStorage cupboard with door-mounted trashbin and shelvesSeawater/freshwater foot pump with faucetUpper lockers for (optional) microwave, dishware, and storageCutlery drawerGlass salon/galley dividerMixer tapLeathered handrailFloorboard with access panels to storage areasStove fan and exhaustGalley options: Front-loading iceboxEngine RoomMounted on fiberglass chassis with integral engine pan and ventilation circuitSoundproof insulation with protective surface and finished edgesInspection panels for filters at foot of companionwayAccess to engine and genset thruhulls in cabin passagewayStructurally attached metal shaft strut and fiberglass shaft tubeStainless steel prop shaft d.35 mm, dripless stuffing box, fixed 3-blade propellerEngine compartment blowerWater separator filterKeelReinforced Kevlar Keels:DEEP DRAFT : cast iron keel: 2.15 m – 3,750 kg (7.05 feet – 8,267 lbs)Epoxy surface treatmentLuxury ItemsLuxury hardware : Dorades, compass mount, nav lights, Teak deck, Classic wide dodger Classic bimini Cockpit cushions, Steering wheel covers, cockpit table, Hot and cold water deck shower.Navstation AreaMain electrical panel, access to connectionsLarge side storage locker and under the floorBig lifting cover, chart table storageRoom for radar/chart plottersCurved nav seat with storage or room for (optional) washing machineMast & riggingAnodized aluminum furling mastTwin spreadersDiscontinuous cable riggingTwin backstayProfurl above-deck genoa furlerRigid boom vangAll halyards lead back to cockpit via SPINLOCK blockersHarken halyard blocks at mast baseDeck projectorBoom topping lift, mainsail halyard, genoa halyardMainsail and genoa sheetsFlag halyard block padeyesFurling mainsailFurling genoa with luff shaperRigging optionsClassic mastSpinnaker pole and gearPlumbingHot and cold pressure water system with semi-rigid plastic water hoseWater pressure pump40 liter hot water heaterRotomolded plastic freshwater tanks under berths with separate fills and ventsChrome faucets with shower heads in washroomsWater tank meterShowers with separate electric shower drain pumps with on/off switchAnswers to Buyers’ Q&AHere is a compilation of questions and answers in one spot for everyone’s convenience:1.
