Following the great success of the one-design classes Swan 45 and Club Swan 42 and the brand’s increasing focus on yachts above 60 feet, the premium manufacturer Nautor Swan temporarily lost focus on the “medium-sized” performance-cruiser segment in the early 2000s. In cooperation with long-standing in-house designer Germàn Frers that gap was filled with the Nautor Swan 46 MK III (alternative model name: Swan 461). With sleek, elegant lines, modern hull shape with wide stern and a clean, functional deck layout, the Swan 46 translates the concept of her larger sisters into a size suitable for long-distance cruising as a couple or small crew. Large enough to ensure a high level of comfort and luxury on long passages, yet easily manageable to offer private owners and their families effortless and safe handling. As always with Nautor, no compromises have been made in terms of exclusivity. The craftsmanship of the traditional yard in Pietarsaari sets standards: The flawless GRP workmanship, the excellent finish of the fine teak joinery and the quality of technical installations are second to none.

On offer here is hull number #403 of the Nautor Swan 46 MK III, launched in 2005. Two-cabin layout with extended galley, enlarged aft cabin and longitudinal settee to starboard with chart table at the main bulkhead. Version with fixed lead keel (draft approx. 2,20 m) and single rudder blade. White gelcoat with striped in dark blue (RAL 7344). Extensively equipped performance-cruiser with six electric winches, retractable bow thruster, diesel generator, inverter, watermaker and full teak decks (even under sprayhood). The current owner renewed the entire navigation electronics in 2024 (including three B&G chartplotters in cockpit) and made numerous additional technical upgrades and replacements. In 2020 the bottom paint was removed and completely rebuilt with epoxy primer and antifouling. Exclusive, generously dimensioned deck gear by HARKEN, LEWMAR and ANTAL. The Nautor Swan 46 MK III is moored on the west coast of the Danish island of Sjælland and can be viewed by appointment.

Rig/Sails

Keel-stepped, top-rigged, white-painted
