The Mitchell 31 MK III, built in 2005, is renowned for her rugged construction and excellent seakeeping. The hull form has long been favoured by commercial operators, which says a great deal about her ability to cope with difficult coastal conditions. As a result, she inspires confidence and is very much a boat designed to get you home safely in all weather. This example is fitted with twin Volvo engines on leg drives, delivering a comfortable cruising speed of around 12 knots and a top speed of approximately 18 knots. Passage making is relaxed and controlled from the helm and navigator’s seating, making her well suited to longer coastal runs. Wide side decks allow easy and safe access when coming alongside or anchoring. The cockpit offers plenty of seating for relaxing, while also providing ample space for fishing gear or practical deck use. The layout is simple, functional, and easy to move around. Below deck, the accommodation is practical and well laid out for a boat of this size. A double V-berth forward, combined with a galley and heads compartment, makes her a usable and comfortable weekender for short trips or overnight stays.
