Description
High-quality deck saloon yachts sub-15m are few and far between; there are a very limited number of marques, one such builder being Regina. They are, of course, a very Swedish builder and, as with any yacht from that part of the world, the expectation is understandably high. Regina yachts are everything you would expect from a high-quality bluewater cruising yacht, from the quality of the moulding to the finely crafted cabinetry below deck. Add to this the highly desirable deck saloon and you have a very capable and comfortable bluewater cruiser. Regina of Vindö was a Swedish builder of high-quality, semi-custom sailing yachts, founded in 1972 on the island of Orust, the home of Swedish boatbuilding. They are best known for their deck saloon yachts, which combine traditional Scandinavian craftsmanship with modern innovation and long-distance cruising capabilities. Regina yachts feature thoughtful, practical designs, including integrated indoor and outdoor steering, ensuring excellent comfort and a rewarding sailing experience in all conditions. ALBA is a nice example of the Regina 43 deck saloon from 2004. It would appear she has been quite lightly used throughout her life, and she presents in very good original condition. With all her primary systems serviced over the winter, the yacht is ready for the coming season.ConstructionRCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean” (or Cat B – whichever is appropriate) Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:Hand laid laminate sandwich construction.Isophthalic polyester AMT technology.Core material is end grain balsa. The hull colour in White finish and the deck colour in White finish.Waterline and trim lines laid in to the gelcoat.Teak laid deck and cockpit.
