4 Crew profilesCAPTAIN: Filippo FAGGIAN. Filippo is native to Venice and has a real passion for sailing. He has been working in the yacht and charter industry for the past 25 years, achieving a deep knowledge of the Mediterranean. He is particularly knowledgable of the Italian and Croatian coasts along with Greece - where he spent 10 years, sailing and taking care of yachts including for their Winter maintenance. He speaks fluent English and of course Italian, his mother tongue. He is a very trustworthy person, takes his work seriouslay and is an ultimate professional who has a great reputation in our industry. References are available from past Owners and Central Brokers. He came onboard RUNNING ON FAITH in Winter 2021-2022 with the new Owner of the vessel, and immediately started a detailed inspection resulting in suggestions about all the necessary upgrades and improvements. These were then completed in 6 months. So we can be sure that he knows every screw and hidden corner of the vessel.....a great guarantee for all parties including his guests. Filippo is a skilled problem solver, thanks to his deep knowledge of engineering, electronics, rigging, sails and hydraulic systems. Being typically Italian he has a positive, sunny personality and is very well mannered, and although reserved is also friendly.CHEF: Alessandra SIMEONE. Alessandra, the Captain's wife is a great chef and able to bestow a tailor-made service to the most demanding of clients, while also offering great experience in sailing and charters,. She is a fabulous team builder, taking care of the crew members and motivating all the team. Alessandra was born in the South of Italy, always bringing her sunny character and offering spontaneous warm hospitality. She has had much experience on sailing yachts over 25 m, either as Chef or Chief Stewardess and also takes part in regattas, as part of the racing crew. After her University degree, she took care of elements of her family hotel chain, learning the most important secrets of hospitality, catering and accommodation. She is in love "with life, nature, art and literature" and she transmits her positive attitude to everybody around her. Her cuisine is clearly a product of her love for the natural & genuine article, complete with a touch of fantasy and colour, resulting in beautiful presentation! Alessandra speaks fluent English, French and Italian – her mother tongue.STEWARDESS: Irina SIMONETTO. Irina was born in Northern Italy in 1973, and moved to Sicily several years ago, where she has been "infected" with the extraordinary positive mood of the Southern Italian people. She has a sunny character and a "can do" attitude. She has great experience in catering, although housekeeping and yacht maintenance and thorough cleaning (in and out) are her strengths. She is tireless, taking care of every detail, a great plus for the whole team. From time to time she will also be available to prepare some specialities, supporting the Chef. Irina was born into a hotel and restaurant owning family, and grew up learning her grandmother’s original recipes! Her attention to detail and thoughtful table settings will be unforgettable for all the guests onboard.CHIEF OFFICER-DECKHAND: Andrea ASTONE. Andrea is a lovely guy; well mannered, polite and always willing to take care of any type of job. In spite of his youth, he has much life experience which has proved very useful for this role that represents his life’s dream. Coming from a family of lawyers, at a young age he chose to work rather than go to university. He is a Rescue Specialist, and has been working as a volunteer (both full and part time) for Protezione Civile, assisting refugees, and in 2020-2021 assisting with the COVID pandemic support.Andrea is a competent sailing instructor (F.I.V.) and PADI Open Water Diver, boasting as well all the necessary Maritime Titles, STCW95.His first job in yachting was on a powerboat, San Lorenzo 82', where the Captain and the Owner were enthusiastic about his great energy and “can-do” attitude. Being fond of pure sailing, he is very happy and enthusiastic to be employed on this fabulous Wally 100'. Guests will be impressed by his good manners and courtesy, tirelessness and hard work, while being attentive to every guest's need. He is fluent in English and Italian is his mother tongue.
