They're built to go to sea when other cruisers cannot. Everything about them is a bit tougher. They have that "hewn from granite" quality which is so obvious from the moment you step aboard. Everything from storage layouts to wiring is distinctly "yacht-like". You can tell that someone really cared. On The Water Northwestern's maiden voyage in 2002 was to the Mediterranean. While we were not the owners then, we have the logs from that trip and will be passing them on with her. Since then, she has explored most UK waters, spending a great deal of time in the channel and off South Wales. She came into our family 10 years ago and has spent those years steaming around the North Welsh coast and across the Irish Sea. She cuts through a heavy sea without the slightest complaint, Volvo Pentas pushing her through like a train, flared bows keeping her topsides nice and dry. We've put a lot into her, including top of the line electronics, all Raymarine based MFDs with dual sensor high-definition sonar, solid state radar and AIS. She has absolutely everything you need to get anywhere. In The Marina Traders are renowned as party boats. With multiple entertainment areas, plenty of space and Fusion audio, you'll find your friends on the marina gravitating towards you on summer evenings. Northwestern has accommodated upwards of 25 people onboard for these events with no issues at all, most notably for our pirate themed engagement party. The commanding rear deck allows for excellent views all around. Equally, cosy cabins are perfect for multiple families to enjoy trips together. With a decent shower and even a bath, Northwestern is also perfect for children. Northwestern has been a very special member of our family. From proposing to my wife on the flybridge to trips all over, taking us safely to Dublin, fishing, and general pottering around the bay, she has never us down. In return, we've kept her well serviced and maintained throughout. We will be sorry to see her go, but being over a hundred miles away, with children and a growing list of other responsibilities, we felt that now was the right time to see her go to a family ready for the same things that we have enjoyed so much." All the appliances are electric and absolutely top of the line.
