Still in her original ownership, HAPPY APPLE VI is a cherished example of the Sweden Yachts 45, one of my favourite performance cruising yachts of the last 20 years, alongside her smaller sister, the 42. HAPPY APPLE VI offers timeless good looks both above and below deck, rewarding yet sea-kindly performance, and an unrivalled level of Swedish yacht-building craftsmanship. The easily managed sail plan has all lines led aft, while the superb cockpit works equally well under sail or at anchor, complemented by generous deck stowage. Below decks, the rich satin-varnished interior provides comfortable accommodation with three double cabins.ConstructionRCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25/EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as amended by Directive 2003/44/EC Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction: GRP deck with end grain balsa core sandwich using fibre glass mat and rovings on both sides, giving a light, rigid and well insulated hull.  GRP hull balsa core is used from toe rail to below water line.  Solid laminate is used in high stress areas around keel, mast foot and in the joint between the hull-halves. Bottom reinforcements are longitudinal and transversal solid laminate design.Deck laid in synthetic teak both ring deck and cockpit.Seacocks serviced and checked annually and some have been changed to TruDesign seacocks.Antifouling removed in 2021 and re-epoxied.Hull antifouled annually with SeaJet Dark Blue. Keel & Rudder:Balanced blade rudder on stainless steel stalk.Externally bolted lead keel on moulded GRP keel stub with a deep sump.All original boat manuals, instruction booklets and schematic drawings.MachineryEngine & Gearboxes:1 x Volvo Penta TMD-22P 78hp (S-drive) diesel.
