Description

BROKER’S COMMENTSThe Nord West 390 is a true quality build, crafted by the renowned Nord West Yachts yard on Orust. A classic Swedish craftsmanship is combined with smart design solutions and excellent seakeeping. The result is an elegant and safe family boat with high comfort, perfect for both extended holiday cruises and relaxing weekends in the archipelago. At its launch in 2000, the model was awarded Motorboat of the Show at the Scandinavian Boat Show. By the time production ended in 2007, no fewer than 171 boats had been delivered. With its timeless design and well-planned layout, the Nord West 390 Flybridge offers a remarkable sense of space on board. The saloon is bright and inviting, with large windows, ample seating, and a substantial dining table. From here, there is easy access to the galley, which is fully equipped for comfortable life on board. The boat features three separate cabins with a total of six berths, ideal for family and guests. The forward owner’s cabin is spacious and well-appointed with generous storage, while the starboard aft cabin not only offers a large double berth, but also a small seating area with a folding table. The port aft cabin has a seat and a berth suitable for 1–2 people. The aft deck provides a generous cockpit for socialising, and the extended bathing platform makes access to the water easy. A staircase leads up to the flybridge, which offers a helm station and a lounge area with seating and a sunbed, perfect both while underway and during peaceful evenings at anchor. The Nord West 390 is built to deliver safe and stable handling, even in rough seas. With twin engines, a solid hull, and a well-balanced design, she is as fun to drive as she is safe.FREJA has in recent years been upgraded with several refinements that further enhance this fine yacht. Stainless steel grab rails with black leather, polished stainless ceiling trims, and a freshly painted white head add details usually only found on the larger Nord West 420. FREJA also features the extended bathing platform and has been upgraded with new upholstery, varnished mahogany trims, new electronics, and navigation equipment. In 2024, a new EFOY fuel cell was installed, providing sufficient power to also support the inverter. The engines have undergone major servicing, with key components replaced or overhauled. Now in the hands of her third owner, she is kept in the freshwaters of Lake Vänern, having previously spent her life on the Swedish east coast, a past that has resulted in a well-preserved yacht with excellent gelcoat condition. If you are looking for a Nord West 390 Flybridge, FREJA is a fine example well worth viewing.Key Facts:• 2 x Volvo Penta KAD 300.• D-version layout with 3 cabins, 1 head.• 5-6 berths.• Good service history for engines.• Automatic trim tabs – 2020.• Bow & stern thruster.• Electric windlass in bow & stern.• Simrad navigation equipment – 2016.• Radar & AIS.• EFOY fuel cell – 2024. • Victron Energy battery charger with inverter – 2020.• Large bathing platform.• Teak on side deck, cockpit, bathing platform and on the flybridge.• Upgrades like Nord West 420.• New upholstery in saloon, white leather – 2015.• New upholstery in cockpit and flybridge, grey – 2015.• New Corian worktop in galley.• New fridge in stainless steel.• Underwater lights.• Indoor winter storage in heated hall.• Professional service of engines.OWNER’S COMMENTSWe purchased our Nord West 390 in June 2021, and she has been a truly fantastic boat, allowing us to enjoy exceptionally long boating seasons. In spring and autumn, it’s wonderful to close the saloon and switch on the heater, while on warm summer days the flybridge offers the perfect place to relax and enjoy the breeze. What makes this particular boat unique, in our view, is not only the extended bathing platform but also the addition of an EFOY fuel cell, which provides extra independence and convenience on longer trips.Overall, she is a superbly comfortable boat with plenty of space and great versatility, making every outing on the water a real pleasure.
