Description
The legendary Hoek design office and Holland Yachtbouw created this Classic Hoek 82 in 2002, featuring an automated rig, a fantastic deck saloon, a cathedral-like lower saloon, and three excellent cabins. Her cockpit is safe, secure, and spacious, with a fixed bimini providing protection from the sun and harsher weather. She also has recessed on-deck storage for her rig and looks impressive from every angle. She underwent major nautical refits in 2016 and again more recently in 2023, including new decks, a full repaint, rig updates, and an interior refresh. She has just completed her spring fit-out, including paintwork and a manufacturer rebuild of her retractable bow thruster. She sails like a witch and looks stunning from every angle.ConstructionHull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:Aluminium hull, deck, and superstructure.Hull repainted in Awlgrip Flag Blue (2023).Superstructure repainted in Awlgrip white in 2023.Paint touch ups (2026).Teak deck replaced in 2023 with 15mm teak and aluminium subdeck recoated and refaired.Teak exterior trim with stainless steel.Exterior varnish work refreshed (2026). Keel & Rudder:Moderate fin keel with ballast bulb.Fixed skeg hung rudder.MachineryEngine & Gearboxes:1 x MAN-Nanni 300hp. Maintenance & Performance:Engine hours – approximately 13,000 before rebuilding with approximately 100 hours run since.The main engine had a major service in 2025. This included removing the intercooler, heat exchanger, turbo unit, injectors, and water pumps for workshop servicing.Cruising speed – approximately 8.5 knots.Maximum speed – approximately 10 knots.Fuel consumption – 14-24 L/H (3-5 G/H).Range – approximately 1,500 nautical miles under power. Propulsion & Steering:West Mekan three bladed variable pitch prop.Hydraulic steering with rudder indicator.40hp (29kw) Hydromar retractable bowthruster removed and returned to the manufacturers in Holland winter 2025 for full refurbishment. Mid-Ship Twin Cabins & En Suites:Situated port and starboard they are mirror image cabins with generous upper and lower berths, good storage, and ample space.The lower berth is a small double.Each has an en suite heads with separated circular shower stalls in each. Saloon:Spacious dining area to port with a large teak table with a compass rose and detailing in ebony and 2 hand-built chairs to starboard and comfortable seating to port.There is also a private office desk and navigation station with great storage and a half bulkhead with sight of the generous galley.This is a light area with hull ports and lots of light shining down from the deck saloon above. Galley:Large linear galley in teak with teak blockwork surfaces.Ample preparation areas, twin sinks, and lots of storage.Refrigeration and electric cooking. Owners' Stateroom:Large and air with a large double berth to port, and a single to starboard. Lots of storage and light floods in from the portlights and hatches. There is a spacious en suite shower/ heads. With a separated show stall.Excellent headroom. Walk in Engine Room:Accessed to port in the galley this large and spacious machine room makes maintenance and inspection of the main machinery very simple. Upper Saloon:Up beautifully crafted steps with handrails from the lower saloon to the upper saloon with interior helm and watch keeping position as well as a comfortable seating area with table to port.
