Design and Capability

The Aquastar 45 is widely regarded as a true yachtsman’s motor boat. Built in 2001 and fitted with the larger bathing platform (similar to the Aquastar 48), she combines classic Aquastar build quality with excellent offshore capability. Her semi-displacement hull with keel delivers predictable handling, comfort at sea, and confidence in a wide range of conditions.

Engines and Handling

Powered by twin Caterpillar 3126 426HP diesel engines, this Aquastar 45-48 offers strong, reliable performance. Twin screws and a powerful bow thruster make close-quarters manoeuvring straightforward, even when short-handed.

Decks and Exterior Living

The yacht benefits from beautiful teak decks fitted in 2015 at the Aquastar factory, which remain in excellent condition. A large canopy over the aft deck and a bimini to the flybridge create versatile outdoor spaces, well suited to long-distance cruising in both high and low latitudes. Wide side decks, side access gates, and low freeboard make boarding and moving around the boat easy and safe.

Accommodation and Comfort

Below deck, the layout is generous and well considered. Accommodation includes a large aft cabin with en-suite, a forward twin cabin with en-suite, and a dinette opposite the galley that converts to a double berth. The galley is well equipped with a four-burner gas hob and a full-size electric oven. Comfort is enhanced by air conditioning to the saloon and diesel heating throughout.

Equipment and Upgrades

The specification is comprehensive and well suited to extended cruising. Equipment includes dinghy davits with Avon RIB and 15hp outboard, a new radar fitted in 2025, and a beautifully appointed saloon that completes the package. As a result, she is offered as a complete, long-distance motor cruising yacht.

Condition and Availability

Offered in fantastic condition, this Aquastar 45 represents a rare opportunity to acquire a well-sorted example of a highly respected design. Also suited to a long term liveaboard.
