Description

2000 Beneteau Oceanis 44CC | Bluewater Luxury with Center Cockpit Comfort

The Beneteau Oceanis 44CC is a rare center cockpit cruiser from the board of Bruce Farr, designed for confident offshore passage-making with all the comfort and elegance of home. Built in 1999 by Beneteau and extensively maintained, she features a pear wood interior by Armel Briand, a luxurious aft owner’s suite with en-suite bath and shower, and a bright, spacious saloon—making her an ideal long-term liveaboard or cruising yacht. The center cockpit layout offers excellent visibility, safety under sail, and superb separation between guest and owner accommodation.

Performance and practicality are at the heart of this design. With a powerful 80hp Volvo Penta engine, upgraded Flexofold propeller, and bow thruster, maneuvering is smooth and controlled. Her in-mast furling main, furling genoa, and robust sail inventory ensure easy handling for shorthanded crews. The Z Spar rig, renewed standing rigging (2014/2022), and full offshore safety inventory make her ready for serious passagemaking. Her keel with wing bulb and semi-balanced rudder offer excellent tracking and a forgiving helm feel offshore.

Extensively equipped for autonomy and comfort, she includes diesel heating, air conditioning, solar panels, large tankage (280L fuel, 620L water), full navigation electronics, and a well-appointed galley with fridge, freezer, and even an ice maker.

Currently ashore in the Med, she’s offered by Williams & Smithells International Ltd—trusted specialists in bluewater yachts. Contact us to arrange a viewing.

The condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.
Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.
