Remarks :"Saoirse" is a classic yacht of quality timber construction built by the craftsmen in Robertsons of Woodenbridge, Suffolk.The brief was for a classic cruising yacht capable of fast passages with single handed sailing if required, to perform well over a wide range of wind strengths with an easy motion but, above all, with an integrity of structure which assures safety. The finished yacht easily fulfilled her brief by achieving 6th overall monohull in the 1993 Round Britain Race under her original name "La Gamine" Subsequently sold to the West of Ireland when she was re-named. Later sold to Dublin when a replacement Yanmar diesel installed. Current owner purchased as a "Covid" project and brought to an exacting standard by an experienced yachtsman refurbishments to include replacement standing rig and other enhancements listed in the specification with the year against the various additions. Placed on the Irish Ships Register by the current owner. A quality built yacht that will not disappoint on viewing by arrangement. Accommodation :The voluminous saloon has a U shaped berth to port with telescopic support table to form a double berth.Lockers outboard and above seat backs.To starboard, bench seat extends to form a berth.Pilot berth above on starboard side.Lighting via deckhead lights.Saloon separated from galley and navigation station by half bulkheads and supports.Chart table to port with chart storage and with book shelf, circuit breaker panel and stowage outboard.Batteries stowed under navigators seat.Lighting via deckhead LED lights and adjustable chart lamp.Quarter berth aft of navigation station.Galley with stainless steel gimbal cooker with oven and grill.Domestic water pump replaced 2023Stainless steel double sinks, cool box, cutlery drawer, Stowage for plates and mugs.Cooker protected by crash bar.Inboard under the bridge deck there is a wet gear locker.Companionway steps mounted over a tool storage compartment.Steps, tool box and panel may be removed to expose engine for easy access.Grab rails fitted to either side of companionway.Teak was boards which may be locked from inside our outside.Forward of main bulkhead the heads are situated to port side.Jabsco heads pump 2021Wash basin to starboard opposite heads.The heads area is spacious with grating and timber doors to saloon and fore cabin.Forward cabin with two berths and infill piece.
