The design brief for the Sovereign deck saloon was ".... to be a fast cruising vessel with classic good looks but with modern beam/length ratio, providing accommodation in three separate sleeping cabins without using the saloon". The yacht features a long fin keel with a bulbed foot carrying lead ballast, and a skeg-supported semi-balanced spade rudder.</p><h6>Condition and Usage</h6><p>This is a fabulous example, well looked after and is a well sailed boat by an experienced single-handed sailor.</p><p>It has a substantial sail wardrobe and is well equipped with electronic and navigational equipment.</p><p>The layout is well thought out, providing ample space inside and out.</p><p>For a full inventory, survey report, and to arrange a viewing, please contact us.</p><h6>Engines</h6><p>Powered by a <strong>Caterpillar hp diesel</strong> with a bladed folding propeller. The bank of batteries is charged via the engine, solar charger, or towed generator. Shore power is fitted, along with a battery charger.</p><h6>Sails and Rigging</h6><p>Cutter rig with in-mast furling mainsail and roller furling foresails. The deck-stepped alloy mast and spars are complemented by stainless wire standing rigging.</p><p>Sails include:</p><ul><li>Mainsail x (Crusader & Sobstad said to be in "good condition")</li><li>Genoa x (Crusader & Sobstad said to be in "fair condition")</li><li>Staysail x (Crusader & Sobstad said to be in "good condition")</li><li>Spinnaker x (Crusader said to be in "good / excellent condition")</li></ul><h6>Accommodation and Layout</h6><p>The comfortable accommodation has berths excluding the saloon, a well-equipped galley, and fore and aft heads with pressurized hot and cold water throughout.
