Remarks :Moody 336 bilge keel for sale in Kent - just reduced to £41,000 This Moody 336 was built in 1991 and is a rare bilge keel version of this popular cruising yacht. This Moody 336 is ideal for coastal cruising or the occasional cross-channel trip, having been extensively cruised on the East Coast, France and Holland. This vessel has been well looked after by the current owner, who has enjoyed the vessel since 2001, with only two previous owner. The vessel benefits from Clipper navigation instruments, Raymarine Autopilot, Garmin 128 Chart plotter and JRC Radar. The owner is selling due to a change of circumstances. Accommodation :This Moody 336 offers seven berths, in three cabins including the saloon with an approximate 6’2 ft headroom throughout. The fore cabin offers a V-berth with an infill to convert to a double berth, an opening deck hatch and good storage including a hanging locker, shelves and under berth storage. The main saloon offers booth seating with a central folding table to port, with under berth storage with shelve and cupboard storage above the booth, this area converts to a double berth. Opposite the booth is a single settee with under seat storage again with shelve and cupboard storage above this settee also converts to a single berth. A navigation station is located at the end of the single Settee, this area houses chart storage and an array of navigation equipment and vessel control switches. Aft of the saloon and to port is the galley featuring a Plastimo Neptune 2 burner gas cooker with oven and grill, a fridge/ freezer, a stainless sink with pressurized hot and cold water. Hot water is provided by a calorifier tank from the engine and via a 240v immersion heater. This vessel benefits from a 202 Litre freshwater capacity. The Head’s compartment is located on the starboard side aft of the navigation station, features a marine toilet, a single wash basin in a white moulded vanity until with hot and cold pressurised water and a separate shower cubical with a shower mixer unit. Aft of the galley and to port is the aft cabin which has a double berth, storage locker and has port holes which make it feel light and airy. It also has access to the rear and side of the engine. Companionway steps lead up to the cockpit which has two good bench seats and a deep locker on the port side, binnacle with wheel steering, engine controls and the navigation instruments are located above the companion way. The cockpit also offers access to the stern bathing platform.

The vessel has a white GRP hull, superstructure and decks with grey moulded non-slip deck surfaces, bilge keels with a skeg-hung rudder and a cockpit wheel steering along with a self-draining cockpit. The vessel benefits from being copper-coated back in 2010, the vessel was last out of the water in 2025 when the anodes were replaced. Mechanical :Spars & Sails: This Moody 336 has a masthead Bermudan sloop rig with a 1991 deck-stepped Kemp mast and boom with stainless steel standing rigging that was replaced in 2007 with running rigging that has been replaced as needed. Equipped with a furling headsail, a slab reef mainsail and Lazyjacks. All lines are led aft via clutches to coach roof-mounted winches. Winches 2 x Lewmar 44 Sheet winches, self-tailing 2 x Lewmar 8 Halyard winches 1 x Lewmar 8 Winch Sails 1 x Mainsail – Dacron, Good Condition, Age Unknown. 1 x Furling Genoa - Dacron, Good Condition, Age Unknown. 1 x Storm Jib – Dacron, never used, Age Unknown. Mechanical Systems: The Moody 336 is equipped with a 1991 28HP Volvo engine, propelling a shaft-mounted three-bladed Brunton feathering propeller. The engine is operated via Morse controls. Fuel is stored in a 118-litre single steel tank.  The engine was last serviced by the owner in 2024 and benefits from a new cutlass bearing in 2015. This yacht will achieve an approximate cruising speed of 5 knots and has a maximum speed of approximately 7 knots. Electrical Systems: This Vessel is equipped with two 12-volt batteries, comprising one for engine use, that was replaced in 2021 and one for domestic purposes that was replaced in 2020. These batteries charge directly from the engine alternator and a 240V battery charger.
