Description

Marketing Description Without a doubt one of the sleekest and prettiest racing yachts you will ever see. She just oozes class and to the discerning eye she has all the attributes of a true 'flying machine' that looks great fun to helm. The Helmsman Carrera 38 was built by Helmsman Yachts to a Haken Sodergren design between 1984 and 1991. 'Cheetah' was built in 1990. Her present custodian has had her for 20 years and has maintained her to a high standard. She has not had a hard life and this shows in her overall condition. She has a suit of yet to be used North Racing sails and her rigging is Dyform. Her mast is stored under cover to prevent any unnecessary degradation. Powered by a reliable Volvo Penta 2001.
MechanicalThis yacht is all about its sailing performance. However its nice to have a reliable source of power to get you home should the winds fail. That comes in the form of an extremely economical and reliable Volvo Penta 2001 inboard diesel engine. This single cylinder unit has been regularly maintained and has recently had her high pressure fuel pump refurbished and her low pressure fuel pump replaced. The exhaust hose and water lock have been updated to a Vetus unit. Single lever engine control mounted in forward cockpit. 12V battery providing engine start and domestic power. Stainless steel fuel tank.
