Description
’Ivy Pearl’ is a well maintained and presented example of the Cheverton 27, a semi-displacement boat often used as Harbour Master and Police launches. She has a large aft cockpit suitable for sea angling and simple accommodation. The twin Perkins diesels give her a cruising speed of about 8 knots. There is a 2020 insurance survey available.

Accommodation
The accommodation consists of a Vee berth forward, small galley to starboard and heads to port. Marine toilet in separate compartment. Manually pumped cold water to galley sink. Aquamarine Neptune 4500 two burner gas stove with grill (new gas hoses 2022). Wheelhouse has steering position for helm to port with vinyl seating and overhead hatch.
Mechanical Systems
Two Perkins M90, 82hp, four cylinder, naturally aspirated marine diesel engines. Freshwater cooled via heat exchangers. R&D flexible couplings. Shaft drive to 20 inch three blade handed propellers via P-brackets. Twin single lever engine controls. Full engine instrumentation. Aluminium trim tabs (turnbuckle type). 50 gallon fuel tank. Max. speed 11 knots, cruising speed 8 knots. Approx. 875 engine hours. Engines and gearboxes last serviced September 2025.

Two 12v engine start batteries plus single 12v domestic battery all charged via engine alternators. Interior lighting.

Construction
Cheverton 27 believed built in approx. 1990. White GRP hull with teak rubbing strake at gunwale level. Round bilge, displacement hull form with large aft cockpit. GRP deck and superstructure on a timber sub frame with grey painted non-slip areas. Plywood aft bulkhead to wheelhouse. Hydraulic wheel steering to twin bronze rudders. Substantial mooring bollards and cleats on decks.
