Designed for Jeanneau as a great introduction to yachting and boat ownership, the Sun Way 21 is a pocket sized family cruiser which is safe, easily managed and affordable. 940 boats were sold attesting to its success at meeting the design brief. It won the Boat of the Year award in France, 1988. This example comes with a single axle road trailer and a Mercury 6hp 2 stroke outboard. Since 2009 the boat has been water-based from April to September and Wintered ashore each year. Construction: GRP construction and marketed as "unsinkable" for safety. Shallow draft wing keel (0,80m draft) with a single spade rudder and tiller steering. Rigging and sails: Bermudan Sloop with alloy mast and spars and stainless wire standing rigging. Slab reefing mainsail with Lazy Jack bag and roller furling Genoa (plus older spare) Genoa by Goacher Sails - 5 yrs old - said to be in "excellent condition" Spare Genoa - 15 plus yrs old - said to be on "OK condition" Mainsail - 15 plus yrs old - said to be in "Ok Condition" Accommodation: Berths for 4 adults in an open plan layout with a V berth double and 2 x settee berths. Bespoke foam mattress and cushions. Cabin table which can be raised and lowered. There is a sink with manual pumped cold water but due to the way the boat has been used, there is no cooker or toilet at the moment. A TV aerial is fitted but no TV.
