Description

Fairline Corniche 31 Tri-Cabin – 1988 - £39,950 This is a very well-presented example of the hugely popular Fairline Corniche 31 flybridge motor cruiser. The boat has a good inventory and has had many upgrades and additions in recent years. This boat features the versatile tri-cabin layout option with a two berth cabin to starboard opposite the galley. She is a clean, tidy and well-presented example of this well-liked design.Significant investments have been made in the boat in recent years, including: New Raymarine Element 12 plotter with Hypervision sounder and Quantum radar, new propellers, new sea cocks, new Flexyteak to aft cockpit & bathing platform, and a cockpit enclosure with a spare for winter use. Many more photos are available, contact us for detailsAccommodation The Corniche 31 Tri-Cabin offers up to five berths; utilising a forward double cabin, a two berth ‘Bunk’ cabin and an occasional berth to starboard side in the main saloon. There is a singleheads compartment immediately abaft the galley. The galley and bunk cabin are fitted at thesame lower level, forward of the main saloon and the inside helming position, but enjoy goodlight levels being beneath the main windscreen. There are also opening hull ports to allcompartments in the forward areas. An Eberspächer D5 Airtronic diesel warm air cabin heater is fitted, while a TV/DVD Player and a JVC stereo CD/radio unit is fitted by way of entertainment.Forward Cabin: this features an offset double berth to the starboard side, with a teakfinished 'Vanity unit'/storage unit to port. This unit features a genuinely useful amount ofvolume and a relatively deep, top-access locker with a mirror to the underside of the lid set intoits upper surface. A single hanging locker is fitted to the port aft end of this cabin. An overhead deck hatch provides light and ventilation and combines with a single portlight to either sidefor good cross-ventilation in hot conditions. The original, brass-finished reading lights havebeen fitted with LED lamps for efficiency.Twin-berth ‘Bunk’ Cabin: located to starboard side opposite the galley, this is equipped with two single bunks, a mid-height cabinet with drawer stowage under side, and a hanging locker. Two opening hull ports. Galley: Finished in ash veneered plywood and solidly made, the linear galley has a grey laminate-finished worktop, 1½ bowl stainless steel sink unit with a hot and cold-water supply; a twin-burner, gas hob is inset into the worktop with a hinged glass cover and a separate gas oven unit below. A front-opening fridge unit is neatly located opposite the galley to starboard, utilising space under the bunk cabin’s hanging locker, and a 240v microwave oven is inset into the forward bulkhead. An additional refrigerated cool box is located under the helm seatHeads Compartment: Fitted with a Jabsco marine flushing toilet with a holding tank. Moulded wash basin and provision for showering. 220-240V AC shaver socket is fitted.Main Saloon: A dedicated helm position with a single helm seat is located to the port forward end of the saloon, with an "L" shaped settee - this can convert to form a berth - running down thestarboard side of the saloon.A TV and DVD player is fitted to the port side.Practical and attractive ‘FlexiTeak’ decking panels have been fitted within the main saloon to match the aft cockpit area. Cockpit area: Accessed from the saloon through wide-opening sliding doors, the aft cockpit is well protected by a recent canvas canopy of good quality and is fitted with cream vinyl finished cushions that may be extended to form a sun pad or, indeed an occasional overnight berth.‘FlexiTeak’ synthetic deck sheathing has been fitted in 2024 in the cockpit area and matches the main saloon to enhance the sense of continuity in walking through the sliding ‘patio-style’ doorway. The flybridge, although accessible up a rather steep ladder, has not seen much use in the current ownership but also sports open-air seating and a double bucket seat for the helmsperson plus one other. The radar arch is folding, to be able to reduce the ‘air draft’ if navigating inland and through bridges.A generous aft platform with ‘FlexiTeak’ covering (Also new in 2024) is fitted to the transom and offers convenient boarding from a tender, as well as surprisingly good fender stowage racking. The previous canvas cockpit enclosure has been retained for winter use and is to be included with the boat.
