OWNERS REMARKS
We bought our first boat, a Mirage 28, in 2002. We sailed locally and made one trip to Holland and one to Falmouth. We wanted to do more long trips and spend more time on the boat, so we decided to get a bigger one. ln December 2005, we bought Heron in Holland. She has proved to be just what we wanted. She has excellent headroom (l am 6'2"), 2 heads, lots of storage, 2 good steeping cabins and a comfortable saloon. We have done many upgrades over the years including replacing all of the drooping Westerly headlining! Heron has proved to be a very good sea boat and has kept us safe on our journeys. We have spent many summers based in Falmouth, from where we have sailed to the Isles of Scilly, Cork and the lsle of Man. When we have been in home waters, Heron has been kept on a swinging mooring in the Walton Channel. ln the winter, she has been ashore with a cover on, in Frank Halls boatyard in Walton. The mast has always been stored in the mast shed over winter.
