Description
Located in Cowes, Isle of Wight, UKDesigned by Ted Hood, this yacht is strongly built to a high standard and has an excellent reputation for seaworthiness and safe and comfortable passage making. It has been well maintained and is ready to sail. The rig has been designed for short-handed sailing. Selling at competitive price because owner has moved overseas. The centreboard is located in a long keel and does not interfere with the accommodation. Draught with keel up is 4.5ft and down is 9ft.Sleeps seven in three cabins. Descending the companionway, there is a double cabin to starboard, and the galley area to port. The main saloon dinette converts to a generous double with an additional settee berth to port. The navigation area is to port.Forward of the mast the heads is to starboard and the double berth forecabin completes the accommodation. Good storage space in all areas with excellent quality joinery.Full headroom throughout.The reliable Perkins 4-108 drives a Darglow feathering prop through a Hurth gearbox.The galley is equipped with a three burner gas stove with oven, a large refrigerator (electric), double sink with pressurised hot and cold water, and manually pumped water in addition. Good storage space.A bowthruster makes for easy manoeuvring.The cutter rig has Selden spars and a carbon fibre spinnaker boom. The main has four full length battens. Headsails comprise a furling staysail and powerful yankee. There is a symmetrical spinnaker fitted with a snuffer for ease of hoisting and lowering. Sail control is through Lewmar self tailing winches. Instrumentation includes: GPS, chartplotter, AIS, VHF, radar, wind speed, depth sounder, log, compass.Power is from two banks of batteries. Bank 1 comprises three 110Ah batteries for starting, and bank 2 comprises two 110Ah batteries for services. Other electrical equipment includes: battery charger, shore power lead, inverter, battery condition monitor, stereo radio with CD player (internal and external speakers).The deck is laid teak on fibreglass.A reel winch controls the centreplate giving draught from 1.4m to 3.2m.The Lewmar anchor windlass handles 30m of chain.
