Description

Built in Taiwan, the Westwind 35 is a design inspired by the Robert Perry-designed Tayana 37, which was built in other Taiwanese yards of the time. The basic hull of the Westwind 35 underpins various versions of the design built in other yards, including the Sunrise 35, Annapolis 35, and Young Sun 35. With its long keel, full-depth rudder, and well-protected cockpit, the design is ideally suited for offshore cruising. With just her second owner, the Westwind 35, ARTHUR WESLEY, has been based in Scottish waters for the last three decades. Extensively cruising the waters of Scotland's west coast and islands, she has been a much-loved member of the family and is now reluctantly offered for sale. Benefiting from continual upgrading and maintenance, her inventory includes highlights such as: Beta Marine BV1505 marine diesel engine Newage PRM mechanical reversing marine gearbox (2022) New stern gear fitted in 2019, including propshaft, drive coupling and propellor NASA BM-1 Bluetooth battery monitor system CTEK MXS 10 battery charger Hydrovane self-steering system installed new 2022 3 solar panels, CTEK MPPT charge controller with DC/DC charger EcoFlow LFP power station battery, supplying DC or AC power Raymarine ST60 Depth instrument Raymarine A65 plotter Raymarine wheel pilot autopilot system Vesper Marine Bluetooth AIS transceiver Force 10 diesel heater Full standing rigging replacement in 2022 Extensive selection of spare parts Having wintered ashore, the Westwind 35 ARTHUR WESLEY is currently lying ashore, ready for launching and available for immediate viewing by prior appointment.
