Owner's CommentsOwning a Dufour 2800 has been a wonderful introduction to sailing for our family, and “St Emilion” has given us some truly memorable times since we bought her in 2023. One of the things we quickly came to appreciate about the Dufour 2800 was her versatility. Her shallow draft allowed us to explore quieter corners of Poole Harbour and anchorages around the Isle of Wight that many larger yachts simply couldn’t reach, opening up so many enjoyable days afloat with family and friends.At sea, “St Emilion” has always inspired confidence. The Dufour 2800 has an excellent reputation as a capable and reassuring cruising yacht, and even in fresher conditions she has always looked after us beautifully, giving us the confidence to enjoy our time on the water.We have taken great care of her during our ownership, keeping her ashore each winter and ensuring regular annual engine servicing. She has been a dependable, comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable yacht to own. As our first boat, “St Emilion” has been incredibly special to us and has created a real love of sailing within the family.We are only selling because our daughter is now pursuing a career in aviation, and we want to dedicate the time and resources to supporting her exciting future plans.
