Remarks :Omega 28 1979 For Sale in Kent This Omega 28 built in 1979,is a very well-built family cruiser. The boat has been well maintained by the current owner and is ideal for coastal use. This Omega offers excellent accommodation with one double forward cabin and three single berths in the saloon, completed with comfortable finishing touches. The owner is selling as he is looking to move up to a larger yacht.This vessel was last out for the water in May 2025 for re antifouled, an engine service, anode replacement, and two new cockpit drainage seacocks.

Accommodation :The Omega 28 offers a total of five berths in two cabins.  The owner’s cabin is forward with a double berth with the engine located under the berth with extra storage on the starboard side.   The forward owner’s cabin also has the marine toilet on the port side under the berth. The main saloon has a central folding table with bench seating either side with lifting back rests creating two single berths. The Galley located aft of the saloon and to port has a with single stainless steel sink with manually pumped cold water, a three-burner gas hob, grill, oven and a coolbox. The companionway leads out to a large aft cockpit for a boat of its size with bench seating to either side, tiller steering and engine controls at the rear of the vessel.

It has slab reefing mainsail with a foresail furling system. It also has an aluminium spinnaker pole. The age of the running rigging and standing rigging is unknown. Winches: 2 x Double Speed Sheet winches. 2 x Halyard winches. 2 x spinnaker winches.   Sails: 1 x Mainsail, Condition unknown and age unknown 1 x Jib, Condition unknown and age Unknown Mechanical System: This Omega 28 has a single shaft driven 8HP Yanmar YSE8 diesel engine. The engine is seawater cooled with a 30-litre stainless steel fuel tank and cockpit controls. The engine was serviced 6 Months ago by the owner. This yacht will cruise at approximately 5 knots and has an approximately maximum speed of 7 knots.  Electrical Systems: 2 x 12-volt batteries (1 x engine + 1 x domestic battery approximately 1 year old) charging from the alternator. She also has a 240v shore power system with ring main.
