1978 Nordia Van Dam 45

‘Constantia’ is a stunning motor sailer with classic Jongert style lines. Built in 1978 in the renowned Van Dam Nordia shipyard in Holland. Her ketch cutter rig gives her an easily manageable and versatile sail plan. This is a true go anywhere yacht with all the comforts you would expect from a fully functional live aboard. The recently surveyed steel hull gives her a bullet proof platform capable of crossing any oceans, all from the comfort of her fully protected cockpit/pilothouse. The twin Mercedes engines with low hours will push her along at a steady cruising speed of 7knots.
After a significant refit in 2024, she is now ready for her next adventure. The solar, wind and generator mean she is completely power self sufficient, usually without need for the generator meaning you can spend as long as you need away from costly marinas. The hull was blasted and a protective coating added then painted with awl grip last year along with a full rewire and re plumb. Some other nice additions include a new Raymarine navigation suite and starlink internet connection.
Constantia is on her summer cruise in the Mediterranean. She will based mostly in the Balearic Islands, we can arrange viewings with the owner as required.
