Keltisle IV) is the last design of the late John Bain, a bespoke motorsailor design for the first owners. Under the current ownership, extensive refit work has been completed, including hull, spars, and engines.DimensionsLength Overall: 35'9" / 10.9mLength at Waterline: 32'6" / 9.9mBeam: 11'6" / 3.5mMax Draft: 5' / 1.52mDisplacement: 14.31 ton / 14,540 kgBallast: keel and bilge platesOfficial number: 703769Registered Tonnage: 14 31/100ConstructionConstructed in Guernsey by Thornes Marine, with the keel laid in 1978 and finally finished and launched in 1981. The hull is carvel built with hard chine, made of Iroko on oak frames, and features teak laid decks. The vessel has a full-length keel with integral iron ballast keel, along with a pair of mild steel bilge keels. Hull is sheathed in GRP.  It is fitted with conventional shafts and stern gear, along with a single mild steel plate rudder. The wheelhouse and aft cabin are constructed of teak with teak brightwork.EnginesEquipped with Twin Perkins 50hp 4108 indirect water-cooled four-cylinder marine diesel engines (1980), located under the wheelhouse sole, along with batteries, water, and fuel tanks. The engines have had very little use, with a cruising speed of about 8 knots. The propulsion system includes shaft drive to 3 bladed fixed propellers and a single rudder.TankageFuel: 1,000 lWater: tankage not knownHolding: yes - tankage not knownAccommodationThe internal accommodation features a bosun’s store forward, along with a forward stateroom containing 2 large berths, hanging space, a separate heads, and a washbasin opposite the WC (port side), all original in unique green tiles. Steps lead up to the wheelhouse, which has sliding doors and hatches to both port and starboard aspects. The helm station is located on the port side, fitted with a steering compass, engine instruments, and controls. Aft of the helm is the navigation desk with a full-size angled chart table and chart stowage. Steps lead down to the galley, which includes a starboard settee/berth and a large teak dining table with storage area and hanging lockers. The galley is equipped with a newer fridge with ice box (circa 2015), a 3-ring gas hob, a microwave oven, and a sink, along with drawers, pantry, and crockery lockers with worktop over. The saloon area features a sturdy free-standing rectangular dining table with settees on either side that double as generous single berths. The aft end of the saloon provides access to the aft deck and transom via doors and hatch.RigThe vessel has a Bermudian sloop rig with wood spars. The mast is not original, having been replaced by the previous owner fairly recently, but the exact date is not known (circa 2017). The mast and boom have since been removed and revarnished by the current owner. It is fitted with a mast tabernacle, allowing the mast to be lowered relatively easily for bridges/storage. This sloop rig is easy to manage and provides generous and comfortable accommodation for 4 berths.SailsMainsail: unused by current ownerFurling genoa: only lightly usedSails are not original, having been replaced by the previous owner fairly recently, but the exact date is not known (circa 2017).Electrical12v / 240vVictron 20A battery chargerPhoenix inverterFrancis electric anchor windlassBilge pumpHot and cold pressurized waterNavigation KitAutopilot - Raytheon Authelm ST3000VHF - Sailor RT2048Radio receiver - Sailor Type 66 TPlotter/GPS - new Raymarine Axiom 7 MFDNavionics+ UK & IrelandAIS - Digital Yacht AIT2000EchosounderClock and BarometerClinometerInventoryWarps and fendersMain and 100 ft of galvanised chain2nd anchorFire blanketFire extinguishersGas locker on aft coach roof
