Description

Bowman 36 | Proven Offshore Cruiser with Extensive Upgrades
The Bowman 36 is a respected long-keel offshore cruiser. She is known for strength, balance, and a gentle motion at sea. Fidget is a fine example of this classic design.

Originally built for the owner of Chiswell Marine, she features beautifully crafted teak joinery throughout. Her interior finish reflects careful construction and thoughtful detailing. Recent owners have maintained and upgraded her with care. She now presents as a capable yacht ready for extended cruising.

A reliable Mercedes OM636 diesel engine powers the boat. The system includes an upgraded alternator and a Vetus cooling strainer. Her long-keel hull and solid GRP construction deliver steady offshore performance. These qualities give confidence in challenging conditions.

The rig received significant renewal in 2019. Both standing and running rigging were replaced, and a Seldén Furlex furling system was installed. The sail wardrobe supports varied sailing conditions. It includes a fully battened mainsail with lazy jacks, furling genoas, a cruising chute, spinnaker, and storm jib.

Handling remains simple and controlled. Wheel steering and a bow thruster assist manoeuvring in tight spaces. A Raymarine navigation suite supports offshore passage making. The system includes radar and autopilot for reliable navigation.

Below decks, warm teak joinery creates a welcoming atmosphere. The layout sleeps up to six people in comfort. The forward cabin features a V-berth. The saloon offers settee berths and a pilot berth. A quarter berth sits aft for additional accommodation.

The practical galley includes a Nelson gimballed cooker, fridge, and double sink. Pressurised hot water provides convenience on board. An Eberspacher heating system keeps the cabin warm during cooler voyages.

Fidget is currently available through Williams & Smithells International. She offers classic Bowman pedigree with proven offshore capability. This yacht stands ready for her next cruising adventure.

Safety lines and jackstaysThe condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.
Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.
