Description
Boat OverviewPandore is a Twister 28 with a Tylers moulded hull, hull moulding number 28P75, fitted out by Uphams of Brixham in 1970. She features a white hull, cream coach roof, teak brightwork, and cabin. The same family has owned her since new, plus one other appreciative owner. The hull was reinforced to accommodate beaching legs when built (legs never used). She has always been winterised ashore under heavy-duty winter cover, with the engine annually winterised and serviced by the yard. New standing rigging was installed in 2018, along with a new cockpit boom tent and spray hood. A full summer cover extends from the cockpit to the fore hatch. Shore power and an automatic bilge pump were added in 2021, and a new stainless steel fuel tank was installed in 2023.ConstructionGRP/CompositeRig DetailsProctor SparsNew standing rigging and bottle screws (2018)New caps and masthead swivel block (2018)New main and Genoa halyard (2018)Mast step re-galvanised and spray painted (2018)Sail WardrobeSaunders Dacron gold quality (tri-radial) genoa with sunstrip and luff padding (new 2013, little used)MainsailSpinnakerStorm jib (number 4)Harken MK1V Series 0 Genoa roller reefing system (2013)EngineVolvo Penta 2002 marine diesel engine MD2002A, specification number 867802, Spurs stainless steel rope cutter fitted to propellerEngine annually winterised and serviced by boat yardFuel Capacity27 litres (2 fuel tanks) with shut-off valvesElectrics3 batteries (1 - Engine, 2 - 2 x domestic batteries), battery metre, 12-volt navigation lightsAnchors, Chains and WarpsDanforth anchor and chainLocker full of mooring warpsGenoa sheets, main, spinnaker sheets, and downhaulsInstruments and ElectronicsRaytheon speed and distance log with repeater in cockpitRaytheon echo sounderGarmin GPSICOM ICM421 VHFAutohelm Nautech MK2Sestrel CompassShore Power (2021)Accommodation Layout2 berths in saloon, with lee cloths, storage lockers beneath.
