Breathe this yacht in. Built 1932 in the US, with an absorbing history including Prohibition rum-running, arrest, Lend-Lease export, service under RN, and a whole weave of owners that make her a sum of far more than her fabric. Now she is in concours condition, with an extensive professional refit in 2021. New modern diesels, air-conditioning, nav. systems, electricals and a paint and brush job to die for, make her just the thing for cruising in exceptional comfort and extraordinary style.ConstructionRCD Status: Our understanding is that the yacht is exempt from the essential safety requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive as she was built and placed into use within the EU, prior to 1998. Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:Strip planked timber hull on oak frames, 30 planks replaced with iroko (2021), gloss painted in cream (2021).Decks in teak, with continual maintenance, sector varnishing and some re-seaming (2021).Wheelhouse in varnished mahogany (new roof 2021) with glazing treated to reflect UV and heat, thus preserving her interior joinery.Brass stem-strip with painted heraldic crest picked out on highly varnished mahogany stem plate.Brass rubbing strip to topsides (runs aft to protect aft gunwale).MachineryEngine & Gearboxes:Twin Nanni N4.140 3.8L 4 cylinder inline, turbo-charged and intercooled 4-stroke diesel engines (2021).Idle at 825 rpm, peak torque of 543.6 Nm @ 1600 RPM, and rated speed of 2600 RPM. Mechanical direct fuel injection and closed cooling circuit with heat exchanger.12V/100Ah alternator per engine.Ultraflex chromed single lever throttle/gear controls (2021).TuffTorq reduction gearboxes by Kanzaki with 2:04 ratio.
