Developed by Surge Projects (Javier Jaudenes) and built following YYachts’ “Keep it simple” philosophy, the Y8 is conceived for owners who value intuitive sailing with a reduced crew while maintaining high construction standards. The full-carbon hull provides structural efficiency and weight savings, while the Axxon carbon rig, self-tacking jib, and hydraulic sail handling systems allow for straightforward operation. The telescopic keel (2.80–4.30 m) adds versatility, making the Y8 suitable for both performance-oriented sailing and long-range cruising. Interior design by David Thulstrup and the YYachts design team focuses on generous volumes and a clean, Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic. The standard layout includes three guest cabins with en-suite bathrooms and a separate crew cabin, centred around a spacious and light-filled main saloon that exceeds expectations for an 80-foot yacht. The YYachts Y8 is a refined semi-custom platform, engineered for frequent use, long passages, and a modern, efficient sailing experience.
