Design and Pedigree
The Pacific Seacraft 37 is a highly respected long-distance cruising yacht with a proven offshore pedigree. Designed by William Crealock, she was conceived as a strong, elegant passagemaker with excellent handling characteristics. Because of this, the Pacific Seacraft 37 is widely regarded as a serious blue-water cruiser rather than a light-duty coastal yacht.
Hull, Rig, and Sailing Balance
This design combines a cutter rig with a canoe stern, which gives the yacht a beautifully balanced and sea-kindly motion. As a result, she remains comfortable and predictable in a wide range of conditions. These characteristics have made the Pacific Seacraft 37 a favourite with sailors planning extended offshore passages.
Cruising History
‘Pride of Erin’ has an established cruising history, including extended cruising in the Hebrides and a passage to the Azores. This real-world use highlights the strength of the design and confirms her suitability for long-distance sailing.

The yacht benefits from an extensive and versatile sail wardrobe, well suited to cruising and heavy-weather sailing. This includes a fully battened mainsail with three reefs (Collins, 2009), stack pack and lazy jacks, and a wide selection of headsails.
Condition and Recent Upgrades
‘Pride of Erin’ has been impeccably maintained and clearly cared for by knowledgeable owners. Recent upgrades include a high-cut genoa, a heavy-weather sail package, and updated running rigging. Because of this ongoing attention, she presents as a well-prepared and capable offshore cruiser.
