VESSEL INSPECTIONS

Various levels of boat inspection services are available through our site. These range from a quick once over glance to ensure that the boat is as stated in an ad to a full inspection or underwater inspection to verify that every aspect of the boat is as stated.

Even if you’re not quite sure what you are looking for in a vessel and need help in narrowing down your choices prior to having a vessel inspected, Boat Hound can help! Our community of boating afficianados gives you the opportunity to ask questions about specific boat models, opinions on boats from boat owners, and to ask for recommendations.

WALK-BY INSPECTIONS

Up to 6 high quality photos of the exterior of the vessel and a brief description of the condition, appearance and any other relevant information. This is to confirm that the vessel is in the location and condition as advertised.

WALK-UP INSPECTIONS

Up to 12 high quality photos of the exterior of the vessel and a more detailed description of the whole vessel. Our inspector will gather as much information as possible from local knowledge.

WALK-ON INSPECTIONS

Meeting with the seller or sellers agent and boarding the vessel. We will provide up to 24 high quality photos of the interior and exterior of the vessel including engines, generators and running gear when possible. We can also provide a video of the engine/s running.

UNDERWATER INSPECTION

For in-water boats we can arrange to have a diver inspect the hull of the vessel and report their findings.

MECHANICAL INSPECTION

One of our qualified inspectors will check compression, oil, cooling systems and spot any possible problem systems with a vessel.
